I'll predict an average of between 8 and 9. But yeah, looking forward to some reviews, probably a few more days for that.
Yeah, I'm SURE the PS3 couldn't run any of the Halo games, much less Halo 3...
Please, I'm not going to get into a flame war with you, I was just stating my opinion that I was excited that Half Life 2 was being mentioned and that I preferred Half Life 2 to Halo 1 or 2.
Nice preview. The comparisons to Half Life 2 are actually getting me excited, much more so than if they compared it to the Halo series, actually.
What's up, three bubbles? Your post is total FUD and not worth a response.
As of two days ago, my local store had the kiosk out, but no unit installed. Meaning that they had the TV, controller, and setup ready, but the PS3 unit had not been received yet. What a tease. I tried to see what the new controller felt like, but wished it was on a cord and not one of those horrible things where you have very limited motion. Buttons felt good though, but I was more interested in asking the rep about PS3 info. For the local Target, no midnight launch, no pre-order of cou...
Black was a good rental, nothing more. But I enjoyed my time with it. This does look pretty bad. Hopefully they can clean up the.. well, everything.
Yes, delay them all permanently.
And why do they want to have downloadable content available immediately? If they have it available right at launch, why not include it on the disk? Here's next gen for everyone, having to pay extra for features that we used to get for free. Yay!
They offer them choice in that they can run their own servers, or they can use Sony's (for a fee I'm sure). EA runs their own servers anyway (on Xbox 360 and I'm sure PS3 games). A lot of the bigger third parties prefer to run their own.
The reason why PS3 fans don't want to pay a yearly fee so they can play online is just that we don't see a need to be charged for something that we've been getting for years for free in PC games. It's not that the amount is so huge, althou...
I'm hoping that God of War 3 will be on PS3, but I'm not so sure. The previous two would have been on PS2 at that point for the reason given that they could use the PS2 engine (probably some slight changes in God of War 2). I'm really hopeful that the third will be on PS3, but has it been confirmed yet?
I think the point of the ad was showing the tilt funcionalities of the new controller. I think these ads are actually pretty cool. Much better than the baby one anyway.
I'm glad too. So sounds like it'll be the same ID, but you can add people to your in-game buddy list using their Sony Network ID's. Not totally bad, but I would prefer to hit a button that imports my whole buddy list, and then take out those that don't have the game if I wish to. At least they confirmed it's only one ID.
I wanted to see more footage of the game after he talked about it for so long. The end was hilarious, though, and also the part about him stealing all of Capcom's ideas.
What Xbox 360 games currently out output in 1080p native? Any 1080p tv can upscale a 720p image to 1080p. Upscaling means nothing.
1080p was also something that MS criticized for the past year or so before implimenting as a capability for the machine to output in 1080p. Like you said, it's up to the developers to utilize it. So far, none have. PS3 is launching with several. Really everything you mentioned were ideas that Sony was implementing, and then MS criticized them, then later implemented them themselves. Does that make Sony the copycat? Why does everything have to be a system war with you? Yes, MS is copyin...
TopGamer- Don't be stupid. I guess everyone is copying MS by making a video game console because MS is the first video game console in this generation. I guess Sony and Nintendo are copying MS because they're using a controller to affect the content in the videogames themselves.
THWIP- Yeah, you could buy all the retro games on XBLA for less than that as well. Why do people buy them again? Convenience. That's the name of the game.
Not too impressed with the Wii in my hands on time with Wii Boxing. I've said it before, but on that game, I was wanting to just have a game pad that wasn't so finnicky. Couldn't get it to do anything. I think PS3 has the best situation as they have motion sensing, and they have regular controls. If one doesn't work out or if someone doesn't like the tilt features, they use the analog sticks. Nintendo doesn't have that option.
Hyperbear- Guess you haven't been reading any of the European websites or blogs. Yes, they're mad that it was delayed, but you'll still find that a lot of them are looking forward to next March when they're able to purchase a PS3.
Now why would they open this to Europeans prior to the launch in Japan and the US, now when I get mine, it could already be taken by someone that doesn't have a console. Maybe they'll do the same for the US and Japan.
They're a good website. One of the websites that I visit daily. Pretty fair on all sides, if they don't like something MS did, they say it, and same for Sony or Nintendo.
Yes, read the article. One store is doing a lottery system, the others are telling people to leave that started to line up yesterday and today. They want them to start the lines tomorrow, apparently. It's going to be crazy over there.
